Schools in Guilford are gearing up to launch the 2021 GEA Read-a-Thon for SARAH!
For more than 60 years, the Guilford Education Association has supported the SARAH Foundation through the annual read-a-thon and other activities. This year, as with most things in our lives, we are going virtual!
Guilford’s four elementary schools and two middle schools are participating in the annual read-a-thon. The students at each school are reading and raising money to support SARAH’s mission to help make independence possible for individuals living with intellectual and/or other disabilities.
Fundraising pages have been created for each participating school to accept and track contributions in support of their student readers.
We are so proud of our students and teachers for generously supporting SARAH and the individuals served by their programs. You can participate in the read-a-thon by supporting your preferred student or school with a contribution.
Check out the G.E.A. Read-a-thon fundraising page to find your students school and consider making a donation to help Guilford students and teachers reach their goal!
Special thanks to the Guilford Education Association board members, read-a-thon building representatives and all the teachers and support staff at participating schools helping to make the G.E.A. Read-a-thon a success again this year! We know the format is different but your commitment to supporting SARAH’s mission has not wavered. We are grateful. Thank you!
