What a wonderful night at the 2024 SARAH Gala!
Our Jeans and Jewels themed event was a wonderful success, not only because guests arrived decked out in their best jeans and jewels, but also because of the incredible generosity of all in attendance.
Guests were welcomed to the Woodwinds venue with their choice of a Tito’s Vodka inspired cocktail from one of our newest sponsors while taking in a room full of interesting and unique silent auction items. Throughout cocktail hour, guests were treated to the sounds of an outstanding Jazz trio made of up students from the music program at Guilford High School. The new wine table raffle was a huge hit as all 100 bottles of wine were claimed before dinner hit the tables!
The evening program included a beautiful live performance from pianist Larry Pepper who has been supported by SARAH SENECA for many years. Guests heard from SARAH Tuxis Executive Director, Beth Kinnare about SARAH’s newest program, Gavin and Friends. A brief video highlighted the complete renovation and enhancement to the building housing this exciting new program. Community advocate and the driving force behind Gavin and Friends, Linda Toscano, shared the story of her son Gavin and the motivation he provided to help create this new program.
Following a delicious plated dinner, the evening concluded with a rousing live auction led by auctioneer, John Peters, who deftly encouraged guests to bid early and often on eight exciting items. An awe-inspiring raise the paddle campaign capped the event as several donors stepped up in big ways to inspire generosity from the room.
