As we approach the holiday season, we are thankful for the many friendships, relationships and partnerships that make SARAH’s mission a reality each and every day. We are thankful for you and the many supporters who believe in making independence possible. We are thankful for the privilege we have to serve the wonderful people in our care. We are thankful for the dedicated staff and committed volunteers who give their all to make our programs and services meaningful and impactful. SARAH, at its core, represents the coming together of community to provide all individuals with access to a fulfilling and engaged life and all it has to offer. Thank you for the important role you play in SARAH’s mission.
The heart and soul of SARAH’s residential programs are the direct support professionals who dedicate their time to ensure the individuals living in the various residential settings we offer are cared for in a safe environment with respect for their specific needs.
A current house manager, Lachelle, spent twelve years working with SARAH as a direct support professional before taking the leap to become a manager at one of the SARAH homes. Prior to accepting the role, Lachelle had a vision for what the residence could look like. Her vision was to make it a place where everyone felt at home, loved, and part of a family. Together with her team, she works hard to support the individual needs of the people they care for while focusing on their outcomes and finding as many opportunities for community outings and activities. They are also known for throwing the best parties, and as Lachelle likes to say, having “fun in the sun”. Lachelle was proud to share, “we won the DDS Partnership Award for our commitment and dedication to SARAH and the people we support!”
SARAH’s mission comes to life because of caring and kind people like Lachelle and all the direct support professionals working tirelessly to bring compassion, joy and a safe living environment to the individuals in our care. We are grateful for their commitment and creativity.
As you reflect on the things you are thankful for in your life, you can help us do what we do best by considering a donation to support our staff and the people we are privileged to serve on a daily basis. To further inspire your generosity, we have a wonderful matching gift opportunity. Every gift received by December 31st will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $25,000. Our goal is to raise $50,000 by the end of the year. Every gift counts, no matter the size. Your contribution of $10 becomes $20, $50 becomes $100 and so on. Thank you for your past support of SARAH and for considering a gift today.
Best wishes for a happy and healthy Thanksgiving and holiday season.
With sincere appreciation,
Ken Alberti
